"Don't Let Me Sink" is a very special song to me for several reasons. It was the first song Jordan and I wrote together. It was soon after Jordan was injured last year and I was just getting over my neck fracture. We sat down one night and he just started playing the melody. The words just started pouring out and we wrote it in 10 minutes. I think it was us realizing how tough we had become and how blessed we were even through all the hardships. After Holden Uganda built the well in memory of Haley, I only thought of the Foundation and the people of Uganda when I heard or played the song. That's why we wanted to use this song to give back to them. |
